Latest Acquisition: Canomodine
We are pleased to announce that we have been successful in purchasing a new grazing property “Canomodine” at Canowindra on the 17th May 19. Canomodine has a total area of 4,187ha (10,346 acres), located 15 km northeast of Canowindra on the Central Tablelands of NSW. It will be run as a Prime Lamb and Beef operation.
Canomodine presents an opportunity to operate a large-scale farm, with fertile soils and mid to high rainfall. The soil types on Canomodine are significantly varied & predominately derived from basalt. The balance of the country is a mix of undulating, steeper hills & rocky terrain, with natives dominating some areas, and Phalaris dominating others.
Canomodine has similar growing seasons to other southern MHPF farms. Well suited to breeding and partial finishing of prime lamb. Canomodine is in close proximity to the MHPF feedlot “Meadowbank” and downstream lamb processors.
