Nick Burton Taylor

Nick Burton Taylor has close affiliations with rural Australia, and together with his wife Julia founded the Country Education Foundation of Australia in 1998; an organisation that financially assists rural and regional students. In 1998 he was named a Member of the Order of Australia for services to business through the accountancy profession and to the rural community.

Career history
Nick started his career with Price Waterhouse Coopers before founding Hays Personnel Services in 1976, where he remained Managing Director until 1989. He has been involved with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia for many years, and was President and Treasurer of the Institute from 1989 to 1991. In 2008 he was awarded Rabobank 'Agribusiness Leader of the Year'. He is a past chairman of the Australian Agricultural Company Limited and a former director of Rural Press, Graincorp Limited, Sydney Airport Corporation, Hazelton Airlines and the Meat Research Corporation.

Current appointments
In addition to being a Director of MHPF, Nick is the fourth Chancellor at Southern Cross University and Chairman of Delta Agribusiness and Principal of Hillgrove Pastoral Company which produces beef, wool and grain from properties in New South Wales and North Queensland.

Education
Nick obtained a Bachelor of Economics from Sydney University, is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, a Fellow member of FINSIA, a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Fellow Certified Practicing Accountant.
