Career History

Karen has extensive finance experience in the agricultural sector, and has held CFO positions in both direct agricultural operations and supporting industries during the last 15 years. Karen commenced her accounting career with a scholarship with PwC in Sydney and worked for several years in the audit division specialising in mining and IT before leaving to pursue her passion for agriculture.

Karen has held numerous volunteer treasury positions for various community and sporting organisations and is currently a Director of CQS Investment Management (Australia) as well as Hutcheon & Pearce Holdings, a major John Deere Agricultural dealer.

Education

Karen is a Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor of Economics from Sydney University and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

In addition to ongoing involvement in her family’s grazing enterprise in Western NSW, Karen together with her husband and four children also operate a small family livestock enterprise in the Riverina.
