Career History
After growing up in a small farming community in rural England, Alexander spent 16 years in the tax practices of the “Big Four” professional service firms of Deloitte, KPMG and PWC, based out of London. Specialising primarily in working with privately-owned businesses and family offices, Alexander advised many of the largest private enterprises across all sectors both in the UK and internationally, along with their owners
Current Appointments
Alongside his twin roles as head of tax for the London-based asset-management business CQS and leading the private office for the firm’s founder, Sir Michael Hintze, Alexander sits on the board of a number of privately-owned enterprises. These include the UK property-development group Architekton, which works to create sustainable place-based solutions across its portfolio of assets, and the UK estate-management and agriculture business MHPF (UK) Ltd. He also serves in a number of charitable trustee roles.
Education
Alexander studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Oxford University, graduating with honours in 2004 and qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser in 2007.
